We’ve just never seen any other RV park with that kind of blatant politics on display. It is also the closest RV park to Creede, a town we’d never visited before. The views from the grounds are spectacular. There are a couple places in town with WiFi, but we didn’t try those.
It wasn’t always working well, but better than the alleged WiFi. Even more long term residents don’t seem to have reliable internet. Visitors should also know that the WiFi is nonexistent. Where are you supposed to put changes of clothes and toiletries? On the floor? They should also add toilet brushes. Suggestion that they add shelves in the showers. The bathrooms and showers are the cleanest I’ve ever seen (my guess is that most use their own bathrooms in their rigs). It seems people get together for Bible Study, music jams, and Bingo.

We saw other license plates, too, but few from Colorado. I mention all this so that anyone considering this place knows there are apparently no rules about displaying political signs and the type of place it is. We were definitely the poor folks with our 20 foot RV. The park is inhabited by a majority of out of staters who spend the summer in their huge rigs, some with additional cabins on their sites. But some were flying Trump 2020 flags, election denial flags, and a neighbor had a confederate flag. We did have it, it was hiding in one of our storage bins. We thought we were missing a part to connect to their 220 electric, so I went searching for help. We arrived around 6, and apparently the office closes then. They don’t provide any help if you arrive in the evening other than a map and a Creede guide magazine. They also require a certain size or more (large rigs), and you can’t cancel after May 1 according to the website. Perhaps I should have known it would be a weird experience when I saw that you could either lease a spot for years or just book a few nights. This was the only place I saw online where I could reserve a spot this week, so I booked it.
